MPP refers to a group of hardware products known as Massively parallel processing.   This is the structured and highly coordinated processing of a single program by more than one processor.  This ia a growing market in the datawarehousing world, originated by NCR's Teradata machines.  Newer entrants to this market include Netezza, Datallegro, Dataupia and HP's Neoview systems.
