Enterprise Architect

This is an exciting opportunity to work for a market leader and a FTSE 100 company. They are looking for an Enterprise Architect to join their newly formed team based in Cheshire.

This is a senior role and requires someone with a good all round knowledge of IS, including BI/DWH, applications and hardware environments.

Must be able to talk with the business at CxO level, build relationships and manage stakeholders. This is an opportunity to join a team of like minded strategic visionaries with the flair and aspiration to direct this global organisation in creating a market leading, unified, information platform.

Some of the main responsibilities:

* Contribute to the development of the overall IS strategy with
responsibility for key deliverables within the areas of information,
application and integration architecture
* Set business objectives and supporting KPls to ensure the IS Strategy
team delivers its core purpose
* Through the IS Strategy directly influence capex of circa £20m pa, and
associated opex impact of £3m pa
* Help support and coach other IS Architects
* Engage with key stakeholders to ensure relationships are developed
and maintained
* Help ensure the IS Strategy department delivers its objectives while
adhering to all internal control requirements
* Ensure effective management/partnering of any 3rd parties
* Assist in the development, publishing and promotion architectural
policies and standards
* Provide architectural support for programmes
* Ensure compliance with IS Strategy, policies and standards across all
programmes and Business Units
* Provide architectural support for Business Units
* Track emerging technologies and identify and exploit IS Innovation
* Assist in the development, maintenance and publishing of application
road maps for all key applications
* Assist in the maintenance of a comprehensive single view of the IS
and IT landscape that links processes, applications and infrastructure.

Essential:
* Commercial experience in some of the following architecture styles:
internet, client/server, data warehousing, ERP/SCM/CRM,
SOA/integration, collaboration, mobile and portal.
* Good level of knowledge of existing and emerging technologies and of
industry best practice in IS/IT development and delivery
* Enterprise scale architecture delivery experience (must have led or
been key team member for the delivery of enterprise architecture from
scope to go-live)
* Experience of managing vendor projects - experience in working with
3rd party IT vendor/system integration implementation and integration
teams on projects
* Understanding of integration architectures (EAI, ELT, ESB), structured
and unstructured data architectures and workflow technologies.
* General understanding of Enterprise Architecture (EA) frameworks
(Zachman, TOGAF, etc)
* Proven track record of successfully using technology to strategic
business advantage and commercial benefit
* Broad understanding of the commercial and regulatory environments
