Information Systems Architect

My client is a market leader in their field and a FTSE 100 company who have an exciting opportunity for an Information Systems Architect to join their growing team. The is a senior role and they are looking for someone who can lead the development of components of IS Strategy and work.

Some of the Main responsibilities:

* Contribute to the overall development of IS Strategy whilst acting as
technical lead for one of the component elements e.g.
o Data Architecture
o Information Architecture
o Application Architecture
o Integration Architecture
* Contribute to overall architectural support for the major programmes
whilst acting as architectural lead for one such programme.
* Contribute to overall architectural support and solution for the BU's
whilst taking lead architectural responsibility for one or more BU's
* Contribute to the development, maintenance and publishing of
application road maps for all key applications


Essential

* Extensive progressive Information Systems experience in application, data, information or integration architecture formulation
* Experience of working in a server intensive environment
* Proven track record of successfully designing and building systems
* Proven track record of successfully using technology to strategic
business advantage and commercial benefit
* Articulate technologist with demonstrated ability to communicate
technology solutions in relevant business terms on a peer basis and at
senior level
* Knowledge of industry standard Enterprise Architecture frameworks -
eg The Zachman Framework, and associated modelling tools
* Knowledge of information/data aspects of a broad range of
technologies used in Enterprise IS solutions architecture (eg ERP,
data warehousing, collaboration technologies, CRM, mobile)
* Good level of knowledge of existing and emerging technologies and of
industry best practice in IT development and delivery
* Highly developed analytical skills .
* Broad understanding of the commercial and regulatory environments
* Business and commercial acumen and experience at interfacing
between business and IS
